How to Remove Toner From Carpet   If a large amount of toner was spilled, scoop up as much as possible with a spoon. Vacuum the rest of it away (without the roller brush on). If it was liquid toner that spilled, blot up as much as possible with a clean, soft cloth.   Once the loose toner is removed, you are ready to work on the stain that was left behind. Moisten a soft cloth with dry-cleaning solvent. Blot it onto the stained area. As you are blotting with a clean cloth, you will notice the toner transferring to the cloth. Continue blotting. Switch to a new section of the cloth or use a fresh cloth when the old one gets dirty to keep from reapplying the toner to the carpet. Moisten the cloth with dry-cleaning solvent each time. Do not pour the solvent onto the carpet or saturate the area. If the stain is not releasing, even with several repeated attempts, move onto the next step. Mix a few drops of dish washing soap with one cup of water. Dip a clean cloth into the mixtu

How To Remove Ink Stains   One of the best solvents you can use to remove ink stains from carpet is also one of the cheapest: rubbing alcohol. It works better if it is 90% isopropyl alcohol, but there is no danger in trying the ones that are 70% if that's what you have available. Whichever you use, remember that ink stain removal is always easier if you treat the stains quickly. Just follow the steps below. 1. Apply rubbing alcohol to a white cotton cloth and dab the stain carefully, so you don't spread the ink. Don't ever pour rubbing alcohol on your carpet! 2. Vaccuum it out after a few minutes using a shop-vac. Alternately, you can blot it up carefully, using a clean white cloth. Don't rub the stain! 3. Repeat the process until you completely remove the ink stains from the carpet, or until you get no more transfer to the cloth. In the latter case it may not be possible to get all of the stain out. At this point, you can try a commercial cleaning

How To Remove Coffee Stains   The sooner you can catch a spill, the better. If the spill is fresh, begin by blotting the area to absorb as much as possible. It is best to work from the outside of the spill towards the middle to avoid spreading the stain. Next, spray on plain water and blot with a clean cloth. Repeat until much or all of the coffee is removed. If it is treated promptly, it can often be removed without any staining. If there is a stain left, or if you are unable to get to the stain right away, continue with the following steps. Apply a mild soap or detergent to the area and gently work it by rubbing the fibers between your fingers. Avoid pushing down as you rub as this will push the stain further into the carpet. Spray with water and blot several times to rinse. If there is still some staining, apply a foamy shaving cream to the area and rub it gently with a clean cloth. Blot to remove. Repeat as necessary. Rinse by spraying with clean water and blottin
